Before working with Wendy, I had hit a kind of bottom. I knew the way I was eating was not working. I have been on every diet known on the planet and nothing seemed to work. I would stick with it for a little while, then taper off. I was getting frustrated because no matter how well I was improving my diet and nutritional habits, nothing worked.
Then I asked the universe to help me and I found Wendy. Wendy took the focus off the obsession with weight and food and put it onto what was going on inside of me. I was instantly able to feel hope and to feel like real change was possible. As a result, I was able to begin to create mindfulness in my eating and more importantly, to let go of my perfectionism and start to love my body for where it was and to keep trusting the process.

I am so pleased that I tried your 7 day cleanse. It was easy to do. At no point did I feel deprived of something good to eat. It got me in the habit of drinking water with every meal, and having good food on hand when I got hungry.

Before working with Wendy, I was at a basic standstill with my overall diet and trying to lose weight. I had lost some weight but had come up against the proverbial wall.

For me, the best part of the program was the wonderful recipes that Wendy supplied us with. As a vegetarian, there was a wealth of options to choose from. I now have some new favorites that I frequently make. And the best part, the recipes are all super easy to make. I usually make a batch so that I have essentially cooked for several meals at once.
Before working with Wendy, I was in a total rut and feeling horrible about the ten pounds I had gained in the past year and a half. It seemed I was constantly trying to work out more and eat less—anything to get rid of the weight and feel good about my body again! During our time together I was able to reassess my true goals, not just in my eating, but in other behaviors as well—such as working out, sleeping, and more. I was able to slow down and think through my food choices in way that made me feel less anxious, less reactive, and much more healthy. I was instantly able to experience more calmness in my daily life. I felt the pounds just melting off my body and started to feel the power of my body again.
I feel much more in control of my food choices, which just makes me feel good overall. I feel more in touch with my body and this has helped me reconnect to my workout regimen, do daily yoga/stretching sessions (even if only for 15 minutes), hydrate more, and resist cravings (mine were chips and caffeine). I feel much more energetic and positive as a result. I extended the cleanse into a second week and am incorporating as much healthy eating into my diet as possible (given a hectic and demanding schedule).

Before working with Wendy, I was addicted to candy. The cheapest candy possible: Good & Plentys, Red Licorice, jelly beans. I had tried to cut back because I had gabi koeppel jpeglearned from Wendy how bad the sugar was for me and because I saw that eating the candy just made me want to more. Other than the candy, I thought I was a very good eater as I am a vegetarian and eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. I saw Wendy’s offer for a one week whole foods cleanse and signed right up for this additional opportunity to work with Wendy.
First thing I noticed is that I felt great and I was not hungry and I was not craving candy. Second thing I noticed was that I was losing weight. Within just one week’s time, I was able to see and feel results. I finished the week cleans with different taste buds and cravings.
The healthier I ate, the better I felt and the more I craved healthy food. In addition to giving up the candy, I now eat large salads with little to no dressing. I drink lots and lots of water. I enjoy eating and tasting the foods and can easily enjoy a dinner out with the right choices. I must admit that when I first heard the term HeartMath, I was not sure what to expect. That said, I was intrigued with the possibility of learning something new, especially as it relates to health and well-being. I have dedicated much of the past year to becoming my best self and throughout that process have had to confront some rather unpleasant realities, most notably that my reaction to much of what occurs around me directly effects not only my mental health, but my physical health as well.
This is the beauty of the HeartMath program - it empowers you to take control of every situation through different coping mechanisms, all of which involve slowing down and breathing. Sounds simple, but what I didn't realize was that it is the way in which you breathe, combined with identifying your emotions and reactions in the present moment that has the power to change everything. And I mean everything! Further, and what has been the most helpful for me, has been the maintenance exercises to build resilience.
It has been about two months since I completed the program and I am still incredibly aware of the changes that occurred within me. I am not exaggerating when I say that a few minutes each day has profoundly affected my outlook on, and enjoyment of life. I don't sweat the small stuff anymore, I have more patience with everyone around me, and I am simply happy!
